Got it!
BromCom Down Nationwide The BromCom service is currently down nationwide, affecting schools across the country. We are in touch with the company and are receiving updates as they work swiftly to restore the service. This will affect your option to see your child’s attendance marks on MCAS. If you have sent a message through MCAS to your child’s school, we might not be able to read this. Please contact school via phone to ensure your message gets to the right person. Schools are also unable to send MCAS messages, therefore please check your emails and phone calls for any communication from the academy. Please contact the school directly via phone or email should you have any concerns. We apologise for any inconvenience and do hope to have all systems running as normal soon.

Each year, many secure places at leading universities to study subjects including Medicine, Law, Engineering, Business, and the Creative Arts. Others choose high-level apprenticeships or direct entry into the workplace, building successful careers in areas such as IT, finance, education, and healthcare.

At St Ivo, we are proud of our students’ achievements – whether it’s excellent exam results, progression to top destinations, or success in vocational pathways – and we are committed to supporting every individual in their next steps.

Careers

We are a comprehensive Sixth Form. Whilst the vast majority of our students go on to study at university, some go to further education College, begin apprenticeships, or start work. Tutors and pastoral leaders are trained in guiding you along the path that is right for you.

St Ivo Academy Sixth Form currently works with Form the Future who offer bespoke careers advice to our students.

We also subscribe to Unifrog which provides a wealth of advice for both university admissions and alternative routes such as apprenticeships. Our tutors are trained to support the aspirations of all students and offer individual, tailored support. We have specialist support for Oxbridge applicants’ those students who intend to apply for highly competitive courses or apprenticeships are offered mock interviews with external specialists.

Throughout the year we run a variety of events that support both research and applications, including trips to both the National Apprenticeship fair and the UCAS exhibition.

UCAS website has lots of useful information for students applying for higher education. There is a newsletter you can sign up for. In particular information on the new UCAS Tariff can be found here.
