A-Level Further Mathematics (AQA 7357)
Course Overview
Further mathematics is a course designed for able students who want to extend their mathematical knowledge.
The course builds on from A-level mathematics and allows you to tackle a wider breadth of work and some more demanding topics. You will focus very strongly on pure mathematics. There are also lessons on statistics and decision mathematics throughout the course. The A-level examination consists of two exam papers in pure mathematics and two more examination papers in further statistics and decision mathematics.
You would be well advised to take further mathematics if you are interested in a degree in mathematics, economics, physics, or engineering. However, the course is also interesting to anyone with a real appreciation of mathematics and wishes to extend their mathematical ability.
You will study:
- Mathematical argument, language and proof
