Students are expected to complete homework and revision regularly to support their learning and progress. To help with this, we provide clear links to homework tasks and revision resources, organised by subject and key stage. These materials are designed to guide independent study, reinforce classroom learning, and help students prepare effectively for assessments.

  • English: 600 points (which approximates to 60 minutes of reading) on Sparx Reader
  • Mathematics: 60 minutes of Sparx Maths with 100% of questions completed
  • Other subjects will set homework using a range of resources that include Carousel or paper-based tasks. science will set a 30-minute Carousel test each week.
  • The following subjects will not set homework in Years 7, 8 and 9: Art, Dance, Design & Technology, Drama, Music, Personal Development and Physical Education.
  • All subjects will set revision in the run up to the assessment periods in the year. In addition, the expectation will be that knowledge organisers are used for self-quizzing or other retrieval practice.
  • All subjects, except core PE, core RE and Personal Development, will set homework in Year 10 and 11. The requirement will vary from subject to subject and will vary during the year depending on the course requirements of the subject

  • Mathematics: 90 minutes per week of Sparx Maths with 100% of questions completed, and 90 minutes of past exam paper practice per fortnight
  • Science – Carousel quizzes are set in year 10 (with exam papers later in the year). Year 11 are set exam question packs to complete.
  • Other subjects will use a combination of Carousel quizzes, work booklets and exam questions/papers. Port-folio subjects like D&T or Art will set design/research tasks.
