We are celebrating another year of fantastic GCSE results, with increases on last year’s results.

Teenagers across the country are receiving the results from exams they took earlier this year in May and June. Despite having many challenges to face, 15 and 16 year olds have recorded excellent achievements at GCSE, with the students of St Ivo no exception.

Staff at St Ivo have gone above and beyond to ensure their students were as prepared as possible for their GCSEs. In particular, the school provided additional revision sessions throughout the year including during school holidays. Students also received excellent pastoral support and encouragement to achieve these great results.

The extra support paid off with many students achieving excellent results.

Among the high performers include:

  • Sophia achieved nine grade 9s
  • Rupert achieved nine grade 9s and one grade 8
  • Erin achieved nine grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and a grade 6
  • Megan achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s
  • Maya achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s
  • Frank achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and a grade 7

Jess Pearce, Principal at St Ivo Academy, said:

“These excellent GCSE results are a testament to the hard work, resilience and ambition of our students, supported every step of the way by dedicated staff and families. We are immensely proud of all they have achieved. We wish all of our students the very best of luck in their next steps, and look forward to seeing many of them join us for their Sixth Form studies.

Rowena Hackwood, CEO for Astrea Academy Trust, said:

“Many congratulations to all of our young people who are receiving their GCSE results today. I know they have worked so hard to get to this point and should feel very proud of what they have achieved, alongside the support from their families and the whole school community.

“Special thanks too, to Jess Pearce and her staff team at St Ivo Academy, who have supported our students with their studies. I am especially proud that we continue to chart the success of our young people as we mark the 10th anniversary of Astrea Academy Trust.”
