Notices

Notification of appointments

Wherever possible, we ask that parents/ carers arrange medical, dental and other appointments outside school time. However, we do recognise that this is not always possible. We do ask that you kindly provide as much notice of appointments as you can, please aim to notify us at least a week before the appointment.

Safe journeys

We would like to reminder parent/ carers to kindly refrain from dropping off or picking up your child using the High Leys entrance and staff car park. This is to prevent traffic congestion and ensure safety. Where possible, please use the One Leisure car park.

Where students walk to school, please remind them to use designated road crossing points. Cyclists should wear helmets, ensure regular safety checks of bikes and again be aware of traffic.

Year 11 Mocks

Congratulations to our Year 11 students who have now completed their mock examinations. We are incredibly proud of the maturity, resilience and hard work they have shown throughout this busy period.
This is an important milestone in their GCSE journey, and we hope they take confidence from the experience as they move into the next stage of preparation.

Bletchley Park – Year 9 Trip

Thank you to our students for their fantastic behaviour during the trips this week, the Bletchley staff complimented us a school for their politeness and attitude to learning.

We visited the once top-secret home of the World War Two Codebreakers, Bletchley Park – see below what our students got up to!

Children in Need

Thank you to our student helpers, donations of cakes and students who purchased cakes in aid of Children in Need.

Guest Choreographer ex-student Martha

We welcomed Martha and St Ivo alumni who came back to support Ivolution. Students autitioned to be in her piece for Ivolution. This was Martha’s first of 3 sessions preparing the students for the big night teaching her own choreography!

Sixth Form Updates

Our Sixth Form students from our sport courses attended ARU for our A-Level PE Sports Science Taster Day! Our students took part in a series of engaging workshops on sports massage, functional movement, and nutrition. It was an amazing hands-on experience, giving them the opportunity to explore different areas of sports science and discover which aspect they might want to pursue a career in!

Year 12 Level 3 Early childhood development pupils orgnised a ‘stay and play’ session as part of their play and learning unit. They created 3 activities suitable for a 2 year old, it was a great hands on learning experience for them. Their visitor, River-Jean had a great time painting and playing with water and playdough!

We are looking to run more sessions over the coming months and are looking for any parents with pre school age children who would like to join us, to support our students experience. Please email Kelly.evans@astreastivo.org if you would like to be involved
