Message from our Principal

It has been National Offer day this week and we have been in touch with all of our incoming Year 7 families for September 2026. We are holding ‘Principal’s Welcome Events’ next Tuesday and Wednesday to welcome the new families who are joining our community. Equally, if you already have a child at the school, I encourage you to come along and meet some of the staff who will be working closely with Year 7 next year. Moving to secondary school is a big step, and we put on a range of transition activities from now until September, to welcome both students and parents to the St Ivo community.

I am really excited to attend the ASHYAC art show which is taking place at St Ivo this weekend on Saturday. I have been into the hall this week to watch the show come together. The amazing pieces that have been produced by the early years and primary students which have been displayed in the hall over the last few days, are incredibly impressive. Our St Ivo students have also contributed a high number of pieces to the show and you can really see the development of talent and application of techniques growing as students develop their knowledge and skills.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to families for reinforcing our expectations around use of phones on site. We have noticed a real change in where students are keeping their phones during the day, and seeing students chat to each other at the end of the day and as they walk off the school site has been lovely to see.

Year 10 travel to Paris

After a wonderful morning at the Eiffel Tower, students then visited the Louvre where they then enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch in the sunshine. This was then followed by a walk down the Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe, with the opportunity for a little shopping along the way!

The students then visited the beautiful Montmartre and surrounding area with another opportunity for some souvenir shopping, before heading back to the hotel for dinner. A busy but fabulous day! 🇫🇷
