Students’ celebrate A Level success at St Ivo Academy in Cambridgeshire

St Ivo Academy, part of Astrea Academy Trust, celebrate with students as they achieve another set of brilliant A Level results in 2026.

Teenagers across the country are finding out their results today, after sitting exams they took earlier this year in May and June. Young people have recorded excellent achievements at A Level, with the students of St Ivo Academy adding to this success.

Staff at St Ivo Academy have worked incredibly hard to ensure their students were as prepared as possible for their A Levels. In particular, the school has excelled in its academic preparation and pastoral care of students. Students have received information from a wide variety of employers and universities, designed to inspire them to work hard and aim for their goals beyond sixth form.

The extra support paid off, with many students achieving excellent results. Thanks to the hard work of both students and staff, there is lots to celebrate, with many students going on to take up places at university, or on an apprenticeship, as well as those who are entering the workplace.

Among the high performers include:

  • Jason Pigg, A*AB – Norwich University of the Arts for Games Art and Design
  • Jessica Barker, AABB – University of Lincoln for Creative Writing
  • Evie Wenham, ABB –Newcastle University for Journalism, Media and Culture,
  • Biri Jakabos, ABB – University of Nottingham for Psychology

Jess Pearce, Principal at St Ivo Academy, said:

“Well done to all our sixth formers who again have achieved a fantastic set of results – we are absolutely thrilled for our brilliant young people, who have worked so hard to get the results they deserve.”

“A special mention also goes to my staff team, who have been such a support to the students. We have had some excellent results and I hope our students are very proud of themselves.”

Rowena Hackwood, CEO of Astrea Academy Trust, said:

“Very many congratulations to St Ivo on another year of helping young people to achieve great things. Students and staff have all worked so hard to get here and should be so proud of the results we have seen today.

“We are committed to giving our students a brilliant education at Astrea and these results today definitely reflect this, in the year we celebrate our 10th anniversary.

“We all want to wish our young people the very best in whatever they choose to do next, whether it’s higher education, taking up an apprenticeship or starting their career.”
