Parent Survey
This week you would have received It is that time of year again when we invite you to take part in our Parent Survey. This survey is one of the most valuable tools we have for understanding what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve. You would have received an email regarding the parent survey link – you will notice that the survey is a different platform this time. Complete parent survey here.
Post-16 Applications
Some Post-16 applications are due in early January. Students must complete their MyChoice16 applications before Christmas for us to check and submit them on time.
Please encourage your child to apply, this gives them the best chance of securing a place at their preferred college or course, late applications may mean they miss out on their first choice.
To support students, we are offering lunchtime drop-in sessions in Room S15, every Tuesday and Wednesday and as always, students can come directly to the Careers office for help
Thank you for your support in helping ensure every student secures the best possible next step.
Parent Engagement Evening
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended the recent parent engagement evening regarding the curriculum and class restructure. We truly appreciate your feedback, patience, and understanding during this time. As we progress through the coming months, if you have any further questions or would like to discuss anything related to your child or their classes, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
KS3 Assessments
KS3 parents would have received an email regarding the KS3 assessments with direction to revision resources. These resources are soon to be merged into a ‘Homework and Revision’ page that will be the hub for all students. We will announce in the newsletter once this change has been made but it will be located in the same place (our approach > curriculum). Please see the letter here.

Ms Seekings wore a sari this week for students to experience traditional dress whilst studying sikhism.
A sari (also spelled saree) is a traditional garment worn by many women in South Asia, especially in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
It is made from a long piece of fabric that’s wrapped around the body and draped over the shoulder. It’s typically worn with a fitted blouse and a petticoat, which help give the sari its shape. Saris come in many fabrics, colours, and designs ranging from simple everyday cotton to richly embroidered silks for weddings and celebrations making them one of the most iconic and versatile forms of clothing in the region.
